Pop queen Britney Spears had been physically assaulted by NBA star Victor Wembanyama’s security guard after the singer had requested to get a photo of the Wembanyama. The incident took place Wednesday night in Las Vegas where Spears and her husband and Victor had all been at the restaurant Catch where Spears went over to Wembanyama and tapped him on his shoulder and back trying to get his attention.
This was to no avail as his security guard stepped in and slapped Spears. After the incident, Spears has filed a police report against Damian Smith. She has also broken her silence of the situation via Instagram, where she describes the incident as “traumatic” and “embarrassing.”
Her husband, Sam Asghari who was there with her when things occurred has also spoken in regards to the slap, saying: “I am opposed to violence in any form, especially without justification in the defense of yourself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves.” he wrote.
He continues, “Self-defense can be avoidable but the defense of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable. I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred, and I hope the man in question learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support.”
As of now, Spears has spoken to LVPD in regards to the situation and will be handled accordingly.
