Killer Mike had quite of a night at the 2024 Grammys as he had won best rap song and best rap performance for “Scientist & Engineers” and best rap album for Michael. After he won the awards, however, video and word had gotten out that he had been arrested for disorderly conduct with an officer.
Mike himself has broken his silence to explain the situation in a statement to PEOPLE where he said:
“As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter. We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing. Until that time, keep listening to Michael, and keep going after your dreams,” He said.
Another source has spoke of the situation where they said that Mike and his team are “confident that the facts of the case, when laid bare, will show that Mike did not commit the alleged offense, and he will be exonerated.” He was charged with a misdemeanor but not kept detained.
