Cam Newton has recently spoken out and broken his silence regarding the fight that took place between him and two other coaches during a 7-on-7 youth football tournament in Atlanta this past weekend. The fight was between Newton and two other coaches where they have expressed that a lot of trash talking transpired between the parties which led to the fight.
Speaking on his 4th & 1 podcast, he took the time to apologize to multiple parties.
“To every single high school player, to every single person I’ve influenced, to every single athlete — use my situation to understand that in one moment, in one decision, your life can change,” Newton said. “I apologize to anybody affected.”
He concluded with saying, “It starts with words, and it should’ve ended with words,” Newton said. “I’m disappointed in myself by letting it escalate to what it did.”
