Chance The Rapper and Kirsten Corley have announced that they are splitting after 5 years of marriage and over a decade of being together. The two had made a joint statement on Instagram where they share their statement regarding their divorce.
“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition,” the statement read.
Just last year, Chance was part of some drama after he had been spotted in Jamaica where another woman had wined on him with him seemingly enjoying the dance. This led to Corley posting to Instagram the Maya Angelou quote: “Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe even more, to succeed.”
The two had welcomed daughters 7-year-old Kensli and 4-year-old Marli. The two had gotten married in a wedding ceremony back in 2019 in Newport Beach, California.
