Simone Biles isn’t here for the latest backlash over her and her husband Jonathan Owens’ relationship. As of recently, the NFL player went on The Pivot podcast where he said that he considered himself “the catch” in their relationship when asked “how did he pull Simone Biles.”
Owens responded by saying, “It’s really how she pulled me, man, that’s the question,” he shot back. “When she won the Olympics, I was in college and we didn’t have NBC, we didn’t have Olympics channels, and we were in camp late July, early August. So I’m not paying attention. I never would’ve had a moment where I would’ve watched.” he admits as he explains his side.
He had been asked if he considered himself “the catch” by the hosts to which he said: “I always say that the men are the catch.”
He also shared that Biles reached out to him first on a dating app and that they were continually texting before they met three days later.

The two had met back in 2020 and later had gotten married this year back in April at the courthouse, where they also had a second wedding in May in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
