Beyoncé has just revealed the track listing ahead of her upcoming album Cowboy Carter and it is nothing short of intriguing. The album will have songs such as the two singles “16 Carriages,” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” but also tracks like “Jolene,” “Dolly P,” “Willie Nelson,” “Blackbird,” “Sweet Honey Buckin’,” “Alligator Tears,” and more.
Bey posted to Instagram the full track listing as it is displayed in red, white and blue; which appears to be the theme colors for the album.
Just recently in a long post, Beyoncé noted that this album “isn’t a country album,” but instead a “Beyoncé album,” as she had received criticism.
“It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed… and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she said. “But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with y’all!”
