DDG recently sat down with Vlad TV where he talked about a variety of things, specifically about the situation that took place last year in February where speculation began of him supposedly cheating on girlfriend, Halle Bailey had began. Speaking to Vlad he shares:
“Nah the situation that I’m talking about in the song is where it was like a screenshot she posted of me DM’ing her,” he shared. “Me and Halle were going through a really really really rough patch. I was just like being petty type s–t, but I had no intentions of actually linking with Rubi and she seen it. I did it in front of [Halle] her.”
He continued, “Imagine tryna argue with your girl or whatever and you get mad at her for something, and you say ‘watch I’ma go do this’ type s–t. I think people thought that I was like sneakingly doing it and then that’s when she posted it. I know what type of girl she is, I knew she was gonna [post it], I wouldn’t even do that.”
Adding final thoughts he says “I feel like the whole situation was definitely taken out of context, because I done tried to tell people over and over like bro, it’s not like that, like, I did it in front of her. I feel like doing it in front of her is better than trying to sneak,” while explaining it was a situation to make her mad after the fact that she made him mad with sharing she similarly was doing the same. “During the situation, it just like, while I was getting cancelled on the internet, we were already cool. It was just like an argument that went completely left and we eventually got over that hump.”
