J Cole Addresses Kendrick Beef In New Song ‘Red Leather’

J Cole recently had appeared on Future and Metro Boomin’s second collaboration album, We Still Don’t Trust You and hopped on the song, “Red Leather” where he addressed the Kendrick Lamar beef and joining in. Rapping on the song he spits the lyrics:

“My energy was never on some toughest n—a s–t / I was just a conscious rapper that would f–k a n—a b—h / I was just a college n—a from a rougher premises / Kept my nose out the streets, but I love to get a whiff / Of the action, with risk comes attraction / The blicks get to blastin’, I turn into a track star / Wanted all the hoes, what the f–k you think I rap for?

The lyrics allude to him not being on anything involving the streets and what type of rapper he is and why he gotten into the rap game in the first place. This all comes after the Fayetteville rapper apologized last week for his role in entertaining the beef surrounding Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

Kendrick Lamar released shots towards Drake and some to J Cole in the single, “Like That” that appeared in Future and Metro Boomin’s first collaborative album, We Don’t Trust You, to which Cole responded in his Might Delete Later album on the record, “7 Minute Drill.”

The record had just been removed today from streaming platforms. Check out “Red Leather” below.
