Congratulations to the hip hop couple Ashanti and Nelly as the two have twice as many things to celebrate for! Ashanti took to her Instagram to reveal the news on a video.
Within the video, Ashanti is seen preparing for her show as her mother Tina Douglas asks her how much time she needs, with Ashanti answering with “Uh, I’m gonna need about nine months.” She also captioned the video “Baby baby baby baby”
This news comes 7 months after Nelly and Ashanti confirmed that they had rekindled their relationship after being apart for 10 years. Speaking with Essence recently, is where the singer confirmed the news of being engaged where she said:
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation. Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
The impending baby will make it Ashanti’s first child and Nelly’s 3rd child.
