It looks like artists Nelly and Ashanti have officially found their way back to each other. Nelly, has recently confirmed the news that he and singer Ashanti, who had previously dated for 14 years, have gotten back together.
Speaking with Rasheeda and Kirk on their show, Boss Talk, Nelly had been asked if he and Ashanti were back together in which the “Country Grammar” rapper confirmed bay saying,
“Yeah, we cool again. We cool again. I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn’t anything that was, like, I don’t think planned. I think we both was pretty much doing what we do. But sometimes being separate, you understand one another more,” he shared.
He also explained further stating that time going by between the two played a huge part into them getting back together, while also expressing that their is “no pressure” between the two and of their careers. Speaking on marriage, Nelly stated his desire to have a life long marriage.
“I think for me, because I’ve never been married, my goal is to die married. It’s not to have been married.” he expressed.
The two also made an appearance at the 2023 MTV VMAS where Ashanti herself also confirmed the news as she toted a handbag with their picture on it proudly posing with it on the red carpet. Congratulations to the two!
